Neilcott designing the first neighbourhood centre at Barking Riverside

Neilcott have recently been awarded the £12m design and construction of a new community campus on behalf of London Borough of Barking and Dagenham.  The project will form the first local neighbourhood centre providing facilities for the Barking Riverside area.  The start on site of the Rivergate Centre is a key milestone in the development of Barking Riverside.  This centre will be the hub of the community and is an extremely important part of the vision for Barking Riverside.

Malcolm Elster, Managing Director said “ Neilcott are delighted to win the commission to design and construct the first neighbourhood centre at Barking Riverside, and become part of the team delivering this exemplary project to regenerate part of the Thames Gateway and create a sustainable community.  We are very excited that the community school is now starting on site.  It is a fantastic illustration of the commitment made by Barking Riverside Limited and London Borough of Barking & Dagenham to local people, creating outstanding facilities which will be a focal point for the emerging community.”
