Neilcott’s Social Responsibility Policy

Neilcott have had in place for a number of years a Corporate Social Responsibility Policy and part of this policy includes a commitment to make a positive difference to the communities within which we work and to improve people’s impression and perception of the Construction Industry. Construction jobs are often thought of as low-wage, low-skilled and short-term and we at Neilcott are delighted to offer Insight into Management programmes.

Insight provides year 12 “A” level students as alternative to Post 16 work experience and has been developed to enable the students to develop a greater awareness of management skills and competencies with a particular focus on problems solving. Neilcott were delighted to have recently hosted four students from the Robert Clack School, Dagenham, the team were asked to develop a business proposal to establish a “Learning Facility” on site at Barking Riverside where construction of our new Rivergate Centre is underway.

The Neilcott team went on to win the Best Report Section at the Awards Ceremony. Malcolm Elster, Managing Director commented “Neilcott are keen to support this excellent initiative which enables students to use and develop their problem solving skills and provides them an insight into the very diverse skills required for construction management, I was delighted to host this event”
