New Houses to be built in Ordnance Road, Enfield

A total of 15 new council houses are to be built on the site of an old pub.  Neilcott has started work on the new development in Ordnance Road, where the former Ketting Hall and pub site used to be.  The houses will front onto a new mews between Rotherfield Road and Beaconsfield Road, and will include 16 off-street parking spaces.  Two are of the new houses are fully wheelchair accessible.  Cllr Ahmet Oykener, Enfield Council’s cabinet members for housing and regeneration, visited site to see for himself where the houses are to be built.  Mark Currie, Neilcott’s Contracts Manager for this project, took the Cllr around site and explained site workings.  Neilcott’s Managing Director, Malcolm Elster, said “we are delighted to be working with Enfield Council on this important project bringing much needed affordable housing to the local community, we are also keen to ensure that this project provides opportunities for local employment and skills development”.CWS_0018_jpg_gallery
