Silver Outstanding Corporate Supporter

The Demelza 2017 Business Awards took place in November at the Tudor Park Marriott Hotel in Maidstone.  The evening was an exclusive event for Demelza’s  outstanding business supporters,  celebrating their success in supporting Demelza, raising awareness and funding for the children and families that they care for.  Neilcott is delighted to have been awarded a Silver Outstanding Corporate Support Award.  Demelza is Neilcott’s 2017 charity of the year as nominated and voted for by staff.  A huge thank you to all those that took part in events throughout the year to reach another fantastic total which was once again matched by the Company.  Well done Team Neilcott!img007

Lighthouse Constuction Industry Charity – Change Bucket Challenge

The Construction Industry Helpline is managed and funded by the Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity.  The charity has been delivering charitable welfare and support to the construction community since 1956.  The Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity is in turn funded and supported by the business and people in our industry for the benefit of the people in our industry.  They currently receive no public funding and rely on the goodwill and support of the industry and their volunteer network of regional clubs and fundraisers to allow them to delivery their charitable work.  The Construction Industry Helpline provides a 24/7 safety net for all construction workers and their families in the UK and Ireland and provides:

  • Emergency financial aid to construction families in crisis
  • Advice on occupational health and mental wellbeing
  • Support on legal, tax and debt management matters

Those working in the industry, as well as their families can contact the Construction Industry Helpline and will be able to call the 24/7 confidential Construction Industry Helpline on 0345 605 1956 to access:

  • Emergency financial aid in times of crisis following an illness, accident, injury or bereavement that forces a family into a state of poverty
  • Advice on occupational health and wellbeing issues as an employee or an employer
  • Support and advice for sufferers of stress and addiction-related illnesses
  • Advice on matters ranging from divorce to employment
  • Advice on specific tax-related issues concerning employment within the construction sector
  • Help to manage and reschedule debt
  • Help to understand the benefits system and your entitlement, especially if you are caring for others
  • Support on career changes, especially after accident or injury preventing you from returning to your original job

Throughout the month of November all Neilcott offices and sites will have a Change Bucket and all visitors will be “encouraged” to give any loose change in aid of the Charity.Change-Bucket-Challenge
